Mason's 9 mo appt.

Mason man went to his 9 month well visit today; he weighs 19 lbs 1 oz and is 28 inches long (in comparison, Gabbie was 17 lbs 27 inches at her 9 mo appt) He did great- the doctor said "these are two of the happiest kids I have ever seen!" haha, go figure!

Mason in Gabbie's tunnel (for the 1st time!) last night: he loved it! (he also decided it was time to start climbing the stairs too- pray for me!)

Easter Weekend!

The Feaster's had a great Easter weekend :) It was great spending time with everyone on Saturday at UB & Aunt Kim's, and having a great Easter dinner at Nana and Papa Davis' on Sunday! It was especially great to see Aunt Lisa and Uncle Doug; we love having them in town!
 Hanging outside w/ Dada!
 Mason practicing his standing skills!!
 Gabbie's best smile :)
Hey, this family picture isn't too bad!

We're off to Mass--besides a really packed Church, the kids did great! Gabbie made friends and ate the little girl's fishy snacks! haha
 Wiiild children!
Easter @ Nana and Papa Davis'! Funny Gabbie moment- when I paid the toll on the way home, she said "Good girl Mama!!" haha

Cutest kids ever!

Gabbie was having so much fun putting all of her toys in her backpack!
I was in the other room when I heard Mason hysterically laughing at something! I went in the bedroom and found him playing w/ the door stopper! He'd hit and CRACK UP every time it'd make its little "boing!" noise! It was the funniest thing ever! Even Gabbie was laughing!

Regression?

Gabbie asked to go in Mason's crib, and then instructed me to to get the camera-- "Gabbie say CHEESE" she said :)
*PS-See the new canvas I had made of baby Mason in the background? Love it!

Okay April, that's enough showers!

Gabbie had a special visitor on Friday night, Matt's friend Brandon brought over his brand new puppy! Gabbie loved playing w/ her, she was so cute!

Saturday we went over to UB and Aunt Kim's to play! Gabbie and Mason could not have had more fun! They love going to their second home :) But actually, I think Dada might have had the most fun; him and  UB had a major ping pong game going on! (Funny story: while Matt was playing, he had his glass of wine sitting on the fireplace...when he went to get a drink, there were 2 golf balls in it! Thanks Gabbie! haha)

Update: Only 5 more weeks (and 1 day!) until we get the keys to the new house! Someone hit fast forward on time please!!!

Mason's 1st time playing outside!

Mason loved playing outside yesterday (and he only tried to eat a few leaves!) Then when Dada got home, we went and had ice cream! Gabbie ate her entire baby cone, and about 1/2 of Mama's blizzard! She was all jacked up from the sugar, it was hilarious!! We love spring!

Horsie

I gave Gabbie a waffle to eat in the family room while I was washing dishes this morning...after a few minutes she brought me her plate and tossed it in the sink to be washed. I said "Good girl Gabbie, you ate your whole waffle?"...She said "nope, horsie ate it!" (it was on the floor in front of horsie!) haha

safety alert: do not be alarmed that horsie is on the chair: i was just about to vacuum--he is not typically in such a dangerous place :)

Gabbie @ 4...14...and 24 months!

Important life lessons from today

1. Mason HATES diaper rash. Mommy, therefore, HATES diaper rash!
2. Crawling around without a diaper, like pediatricians and baby books recommend for diaper rash, is stupid. It's a mess. We'll stick w/ the cream.
3. Washing Gabrielle's "blankies" (yes plural; heaven forbid she only have 1 'lovie' that she can not live without) is not worth it. You would have thought I blew up Disney World. We'll buy more febreze.
4. You should ask your husband periodically throughout the day, "Dear, is there anything important you may be forgetting to tell me?" In which case, they should then remember to tell you something like, for example, "a realtor will be coming tomorrow morning to take pictures of the house"; therefore giving you ample time to clean accordingly.
5. Wine is good!

Weekend Pictures:

I came into the room and Gabbie started cracking up saying "Mason has a hat on!" She put it on him all by herself! It was hilarious! He crawled around in it for like 20 minutes!
Dada got Gabbie a "special treat" (as she called it!) A ducky "cook-cook" from the bakery :)
Time to play outside! We've been waiting MONTHS for this!

She loves using her bucket and shovel...I see a sandbox in our near future!

She loves her new basketball hoop...i'm not sure about this technique though?

Spring has sprung!

We could not be happier about the warm weather and sunshine! Gabbie had a blast going outside to play this weekend, and Mason man even went on his first swing at the big park! Unfortunately, we were tired from packing all day, so we forgot to take our camera to the park :( I know- we're fired! But I promise to take pictures next time!

The Mason Man!

He loves standing up to play now! He's working so hard at pulling himself up!

Bedtime w/ Gabbie!

Matt went up to check on Gabbie (she was supposed to be sleeping) and this is how he found her:

When she realized she had been caught:
I decided to open the blinds for her :) She was watching the neighbor's little boy and his friends play!

For those who haven't seen it yet...Mason's 1st crawl! (3-21-11)

Big boy!

It's official--Mason is all grown up: he had his first baby cheetos today! (big surprise- he loved them!)

And Gabbie was showing her how to eat them with hers:

Playtime!

Mason was having so much fun opening and closing the door! (Gabbie thought it was hilarious that he kept opening it!)

Dear Mason & Gabbie:

Crazy is a perfect word to describe things right now! We just celebrated your 2nd birthday Gabbie, which is unbelievable, at best! The past 2 years with you have flown by--and i'm not just talking about how fast you run (which you do; all the time!)  You are the most outgoing, hilarious, spirited 34 inches tall person we have ever met!  We can't go anywhere without strangers telling us how beautiful you are; and there's a reason God made you that way--you throw some serious temper tantrums! But it usually only takes about 1 minute before you're making us smile again!
Mason, you are such a big boy already! You're only 8 months and already weigh more than your sister did at that age (but then again, it doesn't take too much to beat Gabbie in that department!) You're a crawling machine now, and you love to play with Gabbie's toys and Charlie's tail (thankfully both parties are pretty forgiving of you; for now!) And as for sleeping, something you have consistently lacked in since your arrival back in July, you are now making it 11-12 hours each night (most nights!) You still have wake up occasionally, but you are 100% better than you were a few months ago!
Dada just started his new job, which has allowed us to buy our first house! We're so excited to move to our big new home where you can both have your own room, and a beautiful backyard to play in!
We love you both, and Gabbie please work on your meltdowns for us...Mason...how about a little less drool? Love Mama & Dada

Dear weather: pls change so we can ride our bike outside!!

1st weekend of April pictures :)

Headed to swim class!

Time to go grocery shopping!
Classic Mason man face :)

Kisses from Dada @ her b-day party!

We expect to see everyone on our new deck this summer for a bbq! The keys will be ours as of May 22nd!!

Welcome to our blog!

Hello friends and family! Matt, Gabrielle, Mason and I would like to welcome you to our first blog :) We wanted an easier way to share what is going on in our lives with those that we love. Considering the distances between us, as well as how busy we all are, we figured a site that you could check in on periodically would be perfect!

We love you all and hope you enjoy seeing what our two crazy munchkins are up to! I'm new to this blogging, so hopefully it will be a painless process for all of us!
